Blue Buffalo coupouns are a great way to save money while buying your next Blue Buffalo dog or cat food product. There are multiple types of Blue Buffalo products including the Life Protection Formula, Wilderness product, Longevity product, and Basic product. Since Blue Buffalo offers food for both dogs and cats, we decided to do a quick review of both products and then we included coupons at the end of each review.

Blue Buffalo Dog and Cat Products Review

For both dogs and cats, we noticed that Blue Buffalo has a strong offering, with stews, health bars, recipes and more in addition to their 4 core food products for dogs and many food products for cats too. Something unique we found about Blue Buffalo's Life Protection Formula was the fact that it included LifeSource bits which are advertised to increase lifespan The scientifically verify this, we analyzed the ingredients of the formula and found two things that were surprising: The Life Protection Formula contained DHA and Omega 3 Fatty acids.

The former has been shown to be a critical element to develop cognitive (brain) functions in babies and young children so it would probably be beneficial for dogs and cats too by increasing neruon growth and association. The latter, Omega 3, is an essential unsaturatted fatty acid which has been shown to reduce the risk of arrhythmias (a heart condition) which is a form of cardiovascular disease. Omega 3 fatty acids have also been said to hold numerous other benefits in humans and animals alike. Additionally, one very good thing about the Blue Buffalo offerings is the fact that they don't contain any by-products. Some of these byproducts offered by some other dog and cat food companies have been linked with carcinogenesis (cancer) so we were relieved to see that it wasn't included in Blue Buffalo products. Another point to make is that most of the online reviews of Blue Buffalo products were mostly positive.

However, one area that we did find strange was their marketing. A few of the ingredients that they promote on their site have an associated benefit in the column next to it. Some of these benefits (like Omega 3 fatty acid promoting a shinier coat) is something that is more indirect rather than direct. Omega 3 fatty acid is essential for a shiny coat but it's more of a requirement than something that produces a direct result. (Ex. Vitamin C is essential in human growth but having a lot of Vitamin C won't make you grow faster).
Another thing was that some people might consider Blue Buffalo a bit expensive since it is a couple of bucks more than some other brands. However, we've included a Blue Buffalo coupon at the end of this review so be sure to check that out!

All in all, the dog and cat products offered by Blue Buffalo seem to be pretty great (we still haven't finished collecting data from pet owners who use Blue Buffalo so not all our statistics are avilable right now). However, based on the ingrediants used in the Blue Buffalo products, it seems to be a legitimite offering by Blue Buffalo which will be beneficial for your dog or cat.
